Liming

Liming helps bring the soil pH to a neutral level. Liming supplies the soil with calcium, which in turn provides the right conditions for plants to grow. Liming also increases biological activity in the soil. Liming increases yield and crop quality. Due to the interaction of humus, calcium and clay, the soil is fertile and has favorable growing conditions. Liming helps prevent the formation of a soil crust and is therefore more resistant to erosion.
