Liming helps to neutralize the pH state of the soil. Liming provides calcium to the soil, which in return will set a better condition for the plants to grow in. Liming also increases the biological activity of the soil.

Crop yields will increase significantly and so does it’s quality. In combination of humus, calcium and clay, the soil will be more fertile and will have a more favorable growing condition.

Liming also helps to prevent soil crust formation and is therefore more resistant to erosion.
